YNIX Source Trust Score Methodology

The Source Trust Score rates the citation signal behind a source, not the quality of a product or the truth of every claim on the cited page.

Score components

  • Source type, 40 points: public-interest, standards, testing, editorial, or official-provider provenance.
  • Freshness, 25 points: source checked date relative to the export date.
  • Completeness, 20 points: title, URL, publisher, checked date, and article context.
  • Transparency, 15 points: HTTPS source URL and article-level source count of at least three.

Caveats

  • The score is deterministic and local to this MVP.
  • Provider pages can be authoritative for their own plans and prices, but they are not independent reviews.
  • Scores should be editorially reviewed before they influence ranking or recommendations.
