The Document Foundation describes LibreOffice as free and open-source software. That removes a software licence fee from the comparison, but this is not a verified retailer discount or a limited-time promotion. Download from the official project, not a paid installer advertisement.
LibreOffice includes Writer for text, Calc for spreadsheets and Impress for presentations. A list of applications is not a guarantee that your existing documents will look identical after migration. Use copies of your actual files to inspect page breaks, fonts, formulas, comments and PDF output.
If your team depends on macros, templates or a particular collaboration workflow, test those requirements before cancelling an existing subscription. Training, migration and optional professional support can still cost money even when the software itself is free.
The value case is strongest for someone whose real files and workflow pass that trial. Keep originals and exchange a test document with a colleague. No percentage saving is claimed: the honest comparison is licence costs avoided minus any replacement services and migration work you actually need.
